This is the recipe that I made to use the egg whites remained from the preparation of birramisù ....
Actually I wanted to do a kind of famous Italian biscuits called "ugly but good" but as always I was missing some ingredients ... so let's improvising .... the result reminded me vaguely a kind of biscuits from Aosta Valley called "tiles" (as remind roof tiles)
TEGOLE "SBAGLIATE"
100 g egg whites
100 gr. flour
100 gr. sugar
100 gr. butter
100 g chopped nuts (I didn't have enough so I use also chocolate chips)
Beat butter with sugar, add egg whites (not fitted), the flour and finally the chopped nuts (and chocolate if you like me).
Formed of spaced piles (flatten during cooking) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes (they are quiteready when dry).
